MERMAIDS ON DUTY...
Founder of Aloha Bling is Verda... artist at heart , as a single mom she chose her passion over the corporate job offers 10 years ago when she founded Aloha Bling and truly this small business has turned her hobby into a success story. She has attracted like minded mermaids to collaborate with her to bring you the freshest styles out of Maui, Hawaii.
Aloha Bling is a small team of ocean obsessed mermaids. We are moms, we are artists, we are yogis, we are surfers and kitesurfers. We are a little wild, always classy, very colorful gang of mermaids obsessed with taking care of one another , Maui and our Oceans.
Our headquarters is located on the road to Hana, North Shore of Maui, Hawaii. Our zen jungle is surrounded by wild bamboo, heliconias, fragrant Hawaiian pikake flowers and ever so invasive Hawaiian ginger flowers, our backyard is loaded with yummy coconuts, tasty Lilikoi vines and a blessed Starfruit tree feeding us the tastes of tropical bliss as we work on crafting the freshest Bling from the heart of the Hawaiian Islands.
We, the mermaids of , Aloha, hand craft little, tiny charm necklaces to spark up your days with rainbows of colors to spread ALOHA across the islands, across the globe.
We believe if we must step away from the ocean to be conducting commerce to survive in our culture today then we must conduct conscious, ethical business. We must commit to only use sustainable resources and produce environment friendly products and packaging. All of our gemstones are either sustainably mined, grown in solar powered crystal labs or recycled and upcycled from old pieces of jewelry.
Our custom cut opals are either sourced sustainably from mines in Australia and Ethiopia or made in Japan thru a highly scientific crystal lab that grows opals under high heat, high pressure to speed up thousands of years of formation. The lab grown opals under the microscopic lens exhibit the same chemical and physical composition exactly identical to real opals created by nature over millions of years under volcanic or sedimentary deposits; therefore the metaphysical properties of our jewelry are identical to genuine opals. Opal is a relatively soft mineral that comprises silicon and water and is valued for its brilliant flashing rainbow of colors. There are many different varieties of Opals and we do source natural, ethical harvested heirloom Opals that we display in our custom creation catalog. We work with all colors of the Opal stone ranging from white or light gray to brown or red to black. While opal may be found in either sedimentary deposits or in volcanic deposits; the volcanic stones tend to be brittle and more fragile than the sedimentary stones but the sedimentary stones lack the brightness of colors; our search for the most brilliant and durable stones brought us to the state of art cultivation of crystals , a science called crystal farming, a process called impregnating silica which reproduces the opal crystal fractals under perfectly maintained light and atmospheric pressure. This process makes it possible to have a durable , bright , colorful stone that will last lifetimes.
We hope your Bling brings you unexplainable good juju and magic and helps you connect with yourself. Hearing stories of strangers meeting in faraway places from Hawaii and connecting thru their Aloha Bling is pretty much the highlight of our mission. If we can be of service of connecting like minded souls and giving you a little extra sparkle to get thru your everyday life then our mission is a success. Thank you for your time and support. Mahalo.
